Overview

HoneyPy is a low to medium interaction honeypot. It is intended to be easy to: deploy, extend functionality with plugins, and apply custom configurations.

How to install

To use this tool, please use a method listed below

In a Linux (Debian OS), run the following command(s).

git clone https://github.com/foospidy/HoneyPy.git
cd

How to execute

WARNING: It is highly recommended to NOT run HoneyPy as root. It is recommended to create a dedicated user account for running HoneyPy.

 

Console

You can run HoneyPy in console mode. From any terminal run:

cd /opt/HoneyPy
./Honey.py

 

Daemon

You can run HoneyPy as a daemon process. From any terminal run:

/opt/Honey.py -d
